I love you big so much!

You brought me this handkerchief today, put it on and said "this is so cooooool"!
You eat hamburger steak, pinto beans and cooked carrots with chopsticks, or Mexican, or spaghetti.. Pretty much everything. :-)

You revel in the thought of being a Williams - being one of us. You wrote your name, "Joy Jiao" and over and over tell me your name with the biggest grin. You also love that your dearest friend and cousin, Claudia, is a Williams, too! That blew you away! ❤️

The first three weeks of school, our geography, much of our Bible and science teaches about the world as a whole. I catch you with the globe in another "world" zooming around with fingers shaped like a plane going from the U.S. to China since you know where they both are on the globe now. It makes me teary each time because you are so happy here. You are rejecting all things "China", which is hard on me, but totally normal and I understand. This is your new life and you are ready to move on. Once some wounds heal, we will open back up to talking about it and keeping your heritage alive. Until then, we spell words that relate to your past. You had a friend named "Angel" and "Grace". We have to spell those words and sometimes slip up. You point to the floor and say "no.. Here".   It Breaks my heart each time. We love you forever and will never ever send you back.

You had your first dentist appointment last week. You dressed as Merida. Your Aunt Lauren was your hygienist!! She loves Disney Princesses as much as you and loved to see you dress the part!

We have busy days full of laughter 24/7!!!

I love you big so much,
      ️Mommy
