April 9, 2015 was an exciting day! The system in China showed that our letter seeking confirmation (LSC or called LOA for letter of acceptance) was on its way to our agency in Colorado! They will hopefully receive it on Monday! More waiting ahead as always! Haha! On Monday, if our letter makes it to the agency, they will email us a scanned copy to sign and email back. Then, they will overnight the hard copy to us to sign and mail back. Once the email copy has been signed and returned, our i-800 immigration papers can be sent off and the ball keeps rolling until it is time to go to China! This is the most exciting of phases because each step is pretty predictable on timing except the very last step, which is travel approval! It could take 2 days or 2 weeks. So, due to that wait, we don't know the exact date that we will leave. We are praying hard for leaving June 3rd. We would make it back for Eli's birthday! We will likely leave either June 3, 10, or 17. We are praying for the earliest, but we will take what we can get. The important part is that you will be in our arms! We can't wait to see you for the very first time! God has been hard at work! This is probably the busiest stage for us in the adoption thus far. We have many things still left on the "to do" list around the house, even though we have been diligently working. We have to call your doctors, get more passport photos made, get a few last minute clothing items for us for China, get travel items ready, pack, call our credit card companies, call our insurance company and the list goes on and on. BUSY, but busy with joy. This journey and final reward is the exact same as our other three journeys. Adoption hormones are REAL, just like pregnancy hormones. The excitement with each new bit of information or pictures of you are the same as ultrasounds and check-ups at the doctor. Preparing our home and hearts are the same, the sleepless nights from worry and broken hearts are the same as sleepless nights from an uncomfortable belly. Finally, God placed you in our lives, just as He placed Anna Claire, Ezra and Eli in our lives. There is no difference. It just took a bit longer to find you.
Wo Ai ni meili de nu er. ❤️
