Beach!

This was your first time to see the ocean. I captured the happiness in your heart and I was thrilled!

It is your first vacation. It is your first time to smell the salty air, look at the vast ocean that He created, stick your toes in the pure white sand, build a sandcastle fit for a queen, catch creatures in a net, bury your brothers and sister in the sand, swim in a hot tub and pool in the rain at night, see a palm tree, eat shrimp from the gulf, collect seashells and many treasures, crab hunt, see the boats roll in, taste the salty ocean, sleep with the doors open to hear the ocean's roar, watch surfers live, watch the waves at night, feed seagulls from your hand, play many games of Monopoly, eat a record amount of cookies in a day, play the game of Life, sleep with the door open while listening to the waves, jump the waves, see a tropical storm, see the Phenomena "Red Tide", be a mermaid in the sand, make sand Angels, go through a laser maze, and much more!

We had the most memorable vacation!

You were very persistent asking if we can swim over and over when we arrived in Florida.....Like every two seconds, persistent. We had to get checked in, unpack, and go grocery shopping (and shopping for clothes for Eli because he forgot his bag!!!!!!!!). It hit me mid-grocery shopping that I never explained we would be there a week!!!!! You had such a relief come over you. You thought that we drove 8 hours to see the ocean and leave!  Day one and two you would stick your toes in the water and run away as the surf would come toward shore. By day 4, you loved the ocean! The tropical storm, Patricia, was there for two days, but we had a blast anyway! It was the perfect break from the sand and sun. We went to see "Hotel Transylvania 2" in the theatre and ran to the car while in thePOURING  rain. We had a blast.

We returned to the condo and surprised you all with a swimming trip to the pool (heated) and hot tub in the POURING rain! It was a great memory. mama and Daddy stayed in the hot tub! Ha!  You have learned how to swim under water like a pro and you are getting the hang of swimming on top- proud of you!!!!!  Here are some pictures to remember our week!

Here, you were making me a sand pizza- yummy!

We had the ocean completely to ourselves!!!!

I would catch you many times just stopping to take it all in!

This is my favorite!

We have had great family beach pictures with each trip to Florida-Not this year! Why, you ask? I was getting dressed for pictures on the last night at the beach and I walk into the bathroom and find you putting on a face full of make up.
You were also dead set on pink fuzzy socks with your cute beach outfit (the above outfit wasn't your beach outfit) I just gave up. I was too tired. I wasn't as much giving up because of the perfection of the photos, but no one likes taking them. We decided to fore-go the photos and do something we all enjoyed instead. We will have many more beach pictures in our lives hopefully.
