Land Between the Lakes

 We got all four of you ready for church and headed out on the 45 minute drive. We get within 5 minutes and realize we forgot your medicine. It can't wait. So, we turned around and then we had one crying child (you) and three disappointed others. We decided that it was a beautiful day and to not waste it. We went home to get the meds and then headed out to Land Between the Lakes. We had the best day ever. Seriously. We stopped in Paris and ate at Arby's where you ate nearly my whole sandwich and all your chicken. Then, we headed out to nature! We wanted to go to the 1800s Homeplace where a real 1800s farm is recreated. House, animals, tobacco barn, gardens, etc. Sunday was "chore day" so there were people showing us how to spin wool, weave, quilt, etc.  We got to the pigs and you, my little Beijing beauty, said "ewwww bacon stinks". When in China our guide translated a lot for us. We asked you your favorite animal. Since you were born in the year of the Ox, 

that was one of your favorites. We got to see three oxen, horses, mules, chickens, ducks, sheep, cats and a surprise groundhog that peeked out from under a rocky hill where he had burrowed. 

I told your Daddy if we can fit three beds in one room, we could have a lot more babies! :-)

You are trusting us more each day. We love you dearly. I can barely remember the terribly long days waiting for you. No one can quite understand except a mother in this situation. You were born in my heart many years ago when I became burdened for the fatherless. You were born in my heart before your earthly birth.  You were always mine.
