They left and uncle Jason, Aunt Lory and your cousins came by! You had just been given some pain meds and when he came in, it was like a switch had been flipped. We saw the eyes... THE eyes, you know the face! You asked us to smell your feet, pulled them up to our faces and we would pretend to pass out. You laughed and laughed! You told us that you peed your pull-up, but you didn't want them to step out because you were afraid that they would leave, so we made them all turn around. If the nurses would have walked in, we would have died! Hahaha Also, while they were all turned around, Layton thought it was the perfect time to ask "mom, where do babies come from"?
You were back to normal for two and a half hours! From the time they walked in to right before they walked out, you were back!!! I fully believe that your uncle Jason is your favorite person on the earth! You teased us and played with us the whole time. We laughed the entire time!!! It was just heavenly..
The kids at church each made you a card and I read and showed you every one. I cried while reading them all. So much love was put into those cards! We have some great kids at church who really care! Uncle Jason and Aunt Lory brought you a frozen fleece blanket and a ton of arts and crafts! Soooooo nice of them!
I didn't take any pics (Jason sent me these) because I was living in the moment! I got out the phone to take one video and you said on it "mama, I peed in my pull-up. Shew weeee". Haha
You are just too much fun! So glad we had such a great day. Hopefully, in a few days we can get that chest tube out! My goal for tomorrow is to take you to the playroom if you have a spurt of happiness like today. Your brothers and sister are coming tomorrow! YIIIIIIPPPPPEEEEEEEEE!!!!!! I can't wait to love on them!
A little boy here today is on his 27th surgery. I believe he is your age. We saw the crash cart being wheeled in today for him. You walk through ICU and it will make you weak at your knees. Rows and rows of children with chest scars, ventilators and breathing tubes. It's a messy kind of thanks. We are so grateful for the miracle of these hands that repair hearts all day. We are so grateful these people followed their calling and spend countless hours away from home to care for others.
Your appetite came back tonight. .. A little. You ate half of a banana and some chips. That's a start! We can't wait to see what tomorrow holds. We love you, angel!
