Gotcha!

Gotcha day was such a success. Not only for us, but with all the other families as well. Amazing. When our bus pulled up to the civil affairs office, I saw Joy quick as lightning dart inside the building. We found out later she was walking outside with hands on hips and tapping her foot. Oh my word. SPITFIRE!!!!!!! It is literally like she has been with us our whole lives. I know almost everything she says to me; it's just natural. I know what she wants!  She is so bossy and down to business. She is so much fun.

She came right to us with big hugs. She LOVED her backpack full of goodies. I got teary big time when the nanny handed us a small bag of her belongings.   That's it.. One bag. My precious angel is so strong; such a fighter!!!! We came back to the room and she wanted her nails painted right away and MY makeup put on. We were doing great until she DEMANDED she fill In her eyebrows with liner and put bronzer all over her face!!!!
she put all her things from her backpack in the food cabinet right away. She even put her snacks in there, which was a great sign. She trusts us to feed her and give her plenty of food. Right after she put her things away, she went through her suitcase of clothes and things. She was throwing every piece in the air and squealing.

Every. Piece.

We stayed in the room while baba had to go do paperwork. We watched cartoons, did puzzles, colored Noah's ark, sang Jesus loves me and Amamzing Grace. She knows every word in mandarin. Impressive.

We all went down to the pool and HAD A BLAST!!!! She loves to swim and to try to drown us. She splashed is the entire time! The child has literally not stopped laughing. We cannot believe it.

We came up, ordered a pizza and showered. She loved the rain shower from the ceiling. ️Mommy and Joy showered together. She loved it. It's like she has been ours forever. We are in total awe!! Tomorrow we go make the adoption official. :) what a wonderful day this has been!!!!!  Internet is spotty here and very slow!!! I cannot post our first moments on video or any videos yet.  Maybe in Guangzhou!

                      No more "until we meet",
                              ️Mommy!!!

P.s. Chicken Cheetos  are YUMMY!
